Financial Options for Fertility in Texas

Learn About Fertility Financing, Multi-Cycle IVF Plans, and Refund Programs in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Throughout Texas

Bundl has close partnerships with several fertility clinics in Texas, which allows us to offer flexible financial solutions for those seeking to grow their families via intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Through multi-cycle plans with transparent pricing models, Bundl makes it possible for you to focus on what’s most important (having a child) instead of how you’ll afford expensive care.

What Is the Real Cost of IVF in Texas?

Thanks to high success rates, IVF has become the gold standard of fertility care. Because it involves a complex process, IVF is one of the more expensive fertility care options a growing family can pursue. In Texas, IVF can cost between $11,000 and $17,000, on average, not counting any additional fees that may crop up along the way. As such, this range is just an estimate and may not accurately reflect the total cost of a single IVF cycle.

Furthermore, something that may surprise fertility patients is that, in many cases, they may have to undergo more than one IVF cycle to have a successful pregnancy and delivery.  The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) has recent data indicating that only 26% of fertility patients are able to successfully have a child through IVF in one cycle. IVF success rates decline further in cases where the female partner is aged 35 or older. Most IVF patients will need two or three cycles to successfully have a baby. This unpredictability makes it difficult for aspiring parents to budget for fertility care.

Fortunately, here is where Bundl can help. We have created multi-cycle IUI and IVF packages that are designed to help relieve the unpredictability and stress fertility patients can face when it comes to affording fertility care. Our combined treatment cycle packages are available at a discounted rate, which makes IVF care more affordable and straightforward. Bundl even offers growing families add-on options which can help to navigate unexpected expenses. Plus, our packages come with shared-risk protection, which can protect your investment and offer some much-needed peace of mind.

Are IVF and Other Fertility Treatments Covered by Insurance in Texas?

Texas’s insurance code states that group insurers are required to offer coverage for IVF. However, employers have the choice of whether or not they will include fertility coverage as part of their benefits package. If an employer does offer fertility coverage benefits, patients must still meet a wide range of requirements. Fertility patients must connect with their insurance provider directly to confirm coverage before initiating a treatment plan.

Fertility Financing FAQ

How much does IUI really cost in Texas? + -

IUI is one of the less costly forms of fertility care because it isn’t as involved or complicated as IVF. However, even though it is a common first step for patients to use, it normally requires multiple cycles before achieving success, which can add up quickly. In Texas, IUI can cost around $200 to $1,000 for one cycle. This range does not include fertility medications, which are typically needed during a cycle, so the range can quickly increase from $500 to $4,000 for one cycle depending on what medications are needed. Multiple cycles for IUI can be needed because the treatment’s success rates are low, especially when compared to those of IVF care.

Is IVF covered by insurance? + -

IVF insurance coverage can be complicated as it is dictated on a state-wide level and subject to limitations and exceptions. In Texas, it’s required that group insurance providers offer the option for IVF coverage, but employers are not required to include it as part of their employee benefits. As such, patients need to confirm their degree of coverage with their insurance provider. No one should assume that their treatment plan will be covered within Texas.

Is there affordable IVF? + -

There are ways to make it easier to afford IVF, and one of the more straightforward methods is to work with Bundl’s packages which provide one discounted rate for multiple cycles. IVF is considered to be an advanced form of reproductive care, so it is inherently one of the more costly forms of treatment available. Plus, many additional fees can accumulate throughout the journey, making the entire situation stressful for aspiring parents. Bundl takes many of the complications out of the equation and provides patients with a way to focus on the treatment journey that lies ahead.

How do I finance IVF? + -

You can also consider utilizing loans, credit cards, home equity, personal savings, grants, and fundraising efforts like online crowdsourcing.

What if IVF is unsuccessful? + -

Although IVF has high success rates, it does not guarantee that a patient will have a child. At Bundl, we believe that it’s unfair for patients to pay for something that was not a success.

Unfortunately, IVF treatment is not a guarantee, which is why we at Bundl believe it is unfair for patients to pay for something that might not be successful. To help protect your IVF investment, our 2-Retrieval and 3-Retrieval IVF Packages come with Bundl Guard‡, which refunds 100% of your principal investment if IVF doesn’t work.
