Financial Options for Fertility in Ohio

Learn About Fertility Financing, Multi-Cycle IVF Plans, and Refund Programs in Defiance, Sylvania, Toledo, and Throughout Ohio

Although finding affordable fertility care and IVF in Ohio can seem challenging to aspiring parents, the financial path to parenthood doesn’t have to be hard. At Bundl, we’ve made it our mission to connect you with affordable in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI) treatments. We’ve partnered with leading fertility clinics to bring you multi-cycle plans, financing solutions, and flexible pricing models.

What Is the Real Cost of IVF in Ohio?

IVF is known for its high success rates, especially in comparison to less advanced fertility treatments. However, this higher success rate also comes with a higher price tag. In Ohio, one IVF cycle can cost between $11,000 and $17,000 on average. This price range doesn’t necessarily include various other expenses, such as fertility medications or preimplantation genetic testing (PGT).

This final amount may also increase depending on the specific number of IVF cycles needed – most aspiring parents require multiple IVF cycles before achieving a successful live birth. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology found that only 26% of fertility patients were successful on their first attempt. The female patient’s age also plays a role, as for women over the age of 35, success rates decreased. For most of these patients, two to three IVF cycles were necessary before a successful pregnancy and birth was accomplished.

These additional IVF rounds can have a profound impact on financial planning efforts, as aspiring parents generally only account for one cycle. While financing a single IVF cycle can be stressful, being responsible for multiple rounds can be truly nerve-racking. Bundl steps in to alleviate the financial troubles and lower IVF costs by combining multiple cycles into one package at a discounted price. Our packages include exclusive flexible add-on options designed to simplify financing, along with shared-risk protection to help protect your investment.

Are IVF and Other Fertility Treatments Covered by Insurance in Ohio?

Ohio is one of the select states with laws about fertility care written into their insurance code. Specifically, HMOs must cover basic health care services deemed medically necessary, including infertility services, although IVF coverage is not required. Additionally, employers offering self-insured coverage are exempt from these requirements. As such, even if you live in a state with fertility laws, you should contact your insurance provider directly to determine your coverage for IVF and other fertility treatments. Fertility Financing FAQ

How much does IUI really cost in Ohio? + -

Many aspiring parents often select IUI as their first fertility treatment. Among its benefits, IUI is less complex than IVF, and is less expensive, with a single IUI cycle costing much less than a single IVF cycle. In Ohio, the average cost for IUI generally ranges from $200 to $1,000 per cycle. However, once fertility medications, a necessity, are factored in, the price range can increase to $500 to $4,000 per cycle. You should also know that IUI success rates are typically lower than that of IVF, with a large number of IUI patients eventually transitioning to IVF.

Is IVF covered by insurance in Ohio? + -

Ohio is one of the few states that requires insurance providers to provide fertility care coverage. However, these treatments must be considered medically necessary, and IVF coverage is not required. Certain Ohio employers, such as those offering self-insured coverage, are exempt from having to pay for fertility treatment.

Is there affordable IVF in Ohio? + -

There’s no denying that IVF treatment can be expensive and unpredictable. The good news for aspiring parents is that Bundl has made fertility care more affordable. We offer multi-cycle IVF packages, featuring multiple cycles for one discounted price, helping you manage your expenses.

How do I finance IVF in Ohio? + -

When it comes to paying for fertility treatment, patients often use their personal savings or retirement funds. Other potential financing methods for IVF include applying for loans and grants, using credit cards, taking advantage of your home’s equity, or engaging in social fundraising, like crowdsourcing.

What if IVF is unsuccessful? + -

At Bundl, we feel that if your fertility care treatments fail to result in pregnancy, you shouldn’t have to pay for them. With this in mind, we developed Bundl Guard‡ for our 2-Retrieval and 3-Retrieval IVF Packages. In the event your IVF treatments are unsuccessful, Bundl Guard‡ refunds 100% of your principal investment.
