Financing IVF

Financing IVF

Bundl works every day with individuals and families hoping to make their dream of a healthy new baby come true. Whether it’s their first or third child, or they’re single, partnered, or married, most patients come to us because they don’t have insurance, or their insurance doesn’t adequately cover IVF or other fertility treatments.

To help you make the best decision for your lifestyle and family, we’ve put together a Financing Fertility Guidebook.

Potential avenues for financing IVF

Some Bundl patients are fortunate enough to have personal savings to pay for our fertility treatment packages. But even so, costs can add up fast due to the unpredictable nature of each individual’s treatment, plus extras like medication, lab tests,  genetic testing, and cryopreservation and storage.

More often than not, aspiring parents come to us looking for other ways of financing their fertility treatments. Some of these methods worth considering include:

  • Loans
  • Grants
  • Credit cards
  • Social fund raising
  • Retirement funds
  • Home equity

Each of these financing methods comes with its own inherent risk, be it using your home for collateral or taking a retirement penalty. However, there is also upside to certain loans, including ones from your retirement savings, and being strategic with credit cards to earn points toward future travel as a family.

We urge Bundl patients to consider financing carefully and even ask themselves: can we afford to fail?

It’s an uncomfortable question, but multiple treatment cycles, additional testing, and storage can add up quickly. According to a Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology study in 2018, roughly 29.7% of all patients going through IVF became pregnant after their first embryo transfer—meaning nearly 70% went on to additional treatments and mounting costs.

Ways to save with risk protection from Bundl

Bundl offers two industry-first risk protection packages to patients purchasing our fertility treatment plans, which may offer full or partial refunds if your treatments are unsuccessful.

Success Guard protects patients in our 1+1 Package (IUI + IVF). If you are successful with your IUI, we will refund 100% of the IVF portion of your package.†

Bundl Guard protects patients in the 2- and 3- Retrieval Packages. If you complete the program without a successful pregnancy, we will refund 100% of your package price.

A huge part of our mission at Bundl is to reduce your financial and emotional stress by taking on a portion of your financial risk. With these options, you can focus more on your family and less on financial burden.
